The wallyrocket51, the first pure racing sailing model created by Wally, has been officially launched. This vessel marks a significant advancement in sailing innovation while preserving the brand’s signature style and performance legacy.

Designed to be the fastest owner-driver monotype globally, the wallyrocket51 is also tailored for success in IRC and ORC competitions, thanks to meticulous attention to detail in its design.

Wally’s sailing yachts have long been recognized as icons of style and innovation, setting high standards for performance and challenging conventional approaches. The new design reflects the brand’s evolution through a blend of expertise, creativity, precision, and passion.

Measuring 15.5 meters in length, the wallyrocket51 boasts an ultra-light displacement of 6.3 tonnes and a meticulously crafted hull. This innovative design comes from a collaboration with Botin Partners, renowned for their expertise in the America’s Cup and success in both the 50′ and 100′ classes. The boat’s design offers a rating advantage due to its length and features like the trim tab, which enhances upwind lift while minimizing drag.

The wallyrocket51 is not just fast; it is also versatile and easy to handle, even with a reduced crew of 11. Its stern water ballast enhances the hull’s stability and strength, while the deck’s ergonomics facilitate maneuverability with a small crew. With a sail plan featuring 167 square meters of surface area for upwind sailing and 363 square meters for downwind, along with advanced materials like pre-preg carbon, Nomex, and Corecell, the boat is exceptionally competitive and technologically advanced.
